Best RPG Post for the month of May
ON:
Damien sat at the bar tired and stressed out with his head down. He was tired from the days work. He had ordered a beer from the replicator and was sipping on that while waiting for Grohmann and Thomas to show up. At the very least he had the prospect of some new friends to look forward to.
James walked through the door and spotted Damien walked over to where he was, and pulled up a chair. "Evening Lieutenant, how's everything going?" He asked as he looked around, taking in the scene.
Damien looked up at Grohmann for a minute then back at his drink. "LONG day man... long day. My staff hate me, I'm dealing with insane technology that doesn't make any since, and this ship doesn't have any good beer on it."
It had seemed Josiah was the last to arrive, he had a not so great patient to deal with and it took some talking down even to get the man to have his blood drawn. A smirk played across his lips as he thought about that man, and how he would react before the hypospray was invented. Hypodermic needles, he had assumed, would not be that patients best friend. "Sorry I'm late," he said as he sidled up to the bar.
"No worries here, just glad you could make it" James said as in a greeting to the Commander.
The doctor slid into the chair and placed his elbows on the bar, "glad to be here," he said.
"Let me ask you guys something." Damien said setting down his drink for a minute. "What do you think of Lt. Kimberly Johnson?"
Josiah studied the science officer for a moment, "a capable officer I suppose. I don't know her that well."
"You know I had a brief chance to talk to her just before I met up with you this morning. Let me tell you man, she might be a looker, but she's got one bad attitude problem. What's her deal anyways? Did you tell her to clean a engine manifold or somethin ?" James asked laughing "As for the beer, you got a point there, makes me want to try Kanar."
"Well," Josiah said, "she was in the running for your job." He knew it was a blunt statement, but a true one, "or at least that was the rumor mill before the crew transfers."
"Shes been a non-stop problem since I got on board. She wont cooperate with me, she keeps giving me an attitude. I just cant get her figured out. " Damien sighed and downed the rest of his drink. He was stressed out, confused, and tired. He didn't need his crew giving him an attitude on top of everything else.
"She can always be repo..." Just then a man approached interrupting the doctor.
"You guys talking about Kimberly Johnson?" said one out of uniform crewman as he came walking by. "Man oh man... I heard she gets AROUND if you know what I'm say'in," the man had a huge grin and gave a thumbs up. He was obviously drunk as he was stumbling around and had with him about four rather muscular friends. "Why I myself one night even..."
Damien cut him the man off "I would refrain from finishing that sentance if I were you. You are talking about an officer firstly and secondly you currently talking to her superior office-"
The drunk man cut Damien off before he could finish his sentence. "Who are you to tell me what to do!?"
"I'm a Lieuten-"
The drunken man cut Damien off a second time. "NOBODY! THAT'S WHO!" shouted the man. His friends just laughed behind him.
James looked around for a second. Seeming as how he was security chief he had a feeling this situation had the potential to bite him in the rear, so he walked over to a replicator and ordered another beer, and a phaser.
Josiah sat there quietly for a moment, before sliding from his chair pulling himself to his full height. "Crewman Conner," the CMO raised his voice a bit, "off-duty or not you know it isn't Starfleet etiquette to be talking about a fellow crew member in that capacity." A smirk played across Josiah's lips, "now if I recall you have already been written up for such behavior, don't make me write you up again."
Conner begins to stumble toward the Chief Medical Officer "You don't scare me Thomas, You ain't so tough. "
"You should be crewman," Josiah said as he side-stepped the stumbling crewman. As he did so he took a hold of Conner's arm and twisted it back. The crewmen let go of a yelp as he felt the shoulder joint twist, the muscle and tendon's being pulled unnaturally. Josiah pushed the man from him, it had disgusted him to no end that adults would act in such a matter. "Have at it, you all know where sickbay is," the doctor took a step back, turned on his heel and left the mess hall.
James watched the Commander exit and decided it was time to do something. He set his phaser to stun and went to a panel and disarmed the security alarm before turning around and beginning to break up the little party. He didn't intend on firing the weapon until he had no alternative, but he knew a fist fight was a sure line to a court martial for both his self and Lieutenant Angelus, who was in what he could only call, a heated debate with one of the other crewman from Conner's gang.
